Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is clothing or equipment designed to protect workers from physical and chemical hazards when on a working area. The use of PPE is one of the factors that provide a safe working environment at work by protecting employees' health against potential dangers and risks. Laboratories have high level of chemical and physical risk factors. In this study, in Turkey's first and only laboratory microchip production, the use of correct PPE for the personnel working in the production department in the laboratory was examined on site and a questionnaire about the use of PPE was applied. As a result of the observations on the site and the results of the questionnaire applied, the employees were evaluated in the microchip production laboratory to evaluate the use of PPE and recommendations were made to eliminate the deficiencies. Legislation on the use of PPE has been notified to employees and the importance of the trainings mentioned in the legislation. It was reported that the trainings will affect the safety of the employees and the working environment as well as the personal health and safety of the employees.
